Kieffer Machining is a family run CNC Machine shop started by Bryan Kieffer in 2018. After working in the machine tool trade since 1998, Bryan was given an opportunity with his employer to take on a production job after hours as a side hustle at his home shop. He had purchased a Bridgeport milling machine from a former employer and was able to design and make fixtures for the job. This allowed him to run several parts at once efficiently on his Bridgeport with the addition of powerfeed. As time went on, other work came in, and his name was passed around. In 2019 it was time to find a shop and buy a CNC mill. After purchasing his own shop, in 2020, he was successfully able to leave his employer and become his own boss. Since then, he has invested in more equipment to be able to complete more jobs more efficiently. In 2022, he had grown large enough to be able to move out of his previous 1600 square foot space in Clare, to a 3000 square foot shop in Mt. Pleasant, where he is today. In the summer of 2024 he purchased his first brand-new Haas VF4. Now every day, he is living his dream. — Bryan Kieffer
